Clinical Presentations of Anti-Emetic

The Department of Pharmacology successfully conducted a presentations on Anti-Emetics on 9th June 2026.

The session was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ajaz Fatima (HOD Pharmacology) and organized by Dr. Syed Faseeh Haider and Dr. Ali Salman.

Presentations were delivered by Zainoor Arshad, Umar Tahir, Moaz Khalid, Ali Bahadur, and Hira Azam, highlighting the role and clinical significance of anti-emetic drugs.

The initiative aimed to enhance the presentation, communication, and professional skills of 4th Year MBBS students while promoting awareness of important pharmacological topics.

Workshop on Systematic Review and Meta Analysis

The Office of Faculty Research, LMDC L-ORIC, successfully organized an insightful and engaging workshop on “Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis”. The session provided participants with valuable knowledge and practical guidance on conducting high-quality evidence synthesis and research analysis. The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, acknowledging the dedication and valuable contributions of both participants and organizers.
Together, we continue to strengthen research capacity and promote academic excellence.

DENTOSPHERE 2026 – Phase II

A Celebration of Academic Excellence, Talent, and Team Spirit

The grand culmination of DentoSphere 2026 was held on 4th June 2026 at the Auditorium of Lahore Medical & Dental College (LMDC), bringing together students, faculty, and distinguished guests from leading dental institutions

The event featured an exciting Inter-Collegiate Quiz Competition, followed by a highly competitive Documentary Presentation Contest involving participant from different dental colleges

Simultaneously, the Undergraduate and Postgraduate E-Poster Competitions showcased innovative research and academic excellence in the CDE Room and Lecture Theatre No. 7.

Conducted under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Aqib Sohail, Principal/Dean, Dental College, LMDC, the event was honored by the presence of Maj. Gen. (R) Prof. Dr. Naeem Naqi, Vice Chancellor and Principal LMDC, Prof. Dr. Naeem Mubarak, Pro-Vice Chancellor UBAS, Mr. Asad Ahmad Khan, Chief Administrative Officer, LMDC esteemed principals of various dental colleges, and members of the medical and dental fraternity.

The occasion concluded on a triumphant note as Team LMDC emerged as the Overall Champion of DentoSphere 2026, securing victories in the Quiz Competition, Padel Sports, Singing Competition, and Documentary Presentations. In recognition of their outstanding achievements, the winning team was awarded the Championship Trophy along with a cash prize of PKR 50,000.

Congratulations to Team LMDC for their exceptional performance and unwavering commitment to excellence. DentoSphere 2026 stands as a testament to the spirit of healthy competition, academic growth, and inter-institutional collaboration.

Pharmacological presentation on Peptic Ulcer Disease was conducted on 2nd of June 2026 by the Department of Pharmacology.

The event was supervised by Prof. Ajaz Fatima (HOD Pharmacology) and organized by Dr Muhammad Ahsan Zia and Dr Zunaira Zartash Demonstrators of faculty of Pharmacology.

The topic of presentation on 2nd of June 2026 was on Topic of Peptic Ulcer Disease and presenters of 4th Year MBBS are Naeem Ul Moeed, Ammar Muzammil, Affan Ahmed.

The purpose for conducting the presentation was to involve and encourage MBBS 4th Prof. Students in building up presentation and communication skills by presenting and creating awareness of pertinent topics. The presentation was concluded with distribution of Certificates.

LMDC Summer Fest

Summer Fest 2026 was a celebration of talent, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. From board games, badminton, table tennis, surprise quizzes, regional songs, open mic performances, and Antakshari to an exciting finale and Closing Ceremony, every moment reflected the enthusiasm and spirit of our students.

We were honored by the presence of our respected Vice Chancellor, Maj. Gen. Prof. Dr. Naeem Naqi, Principal Dental College Dr. Aqib Sohail, Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Asad Ahmad Khan, and esteemed faculty members.

As Summer Fest 2026 comes to a close, it leaves behind cherished friendships, shared laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Exploring the Oral Health Impact of Modern Therapeutics

The Dental Education Department, in collaboration with the Department of Oral Medicine & Diagnosis, organized a Common Core Seminar on the insightful topic: “Effects of Ozempic on Oral Health.”

The presentation was delivered by Dr. Nawal Talat from the Department of Oral Medicine & Diagnosis, highlighting the emerging oral health considerations associated with Ozempic and related medications. The session concluded with a highly engaging discussion and an interactive question & answer session, reflecting the keen interest of the participants.

Applications are invited for House Job Training in Dentistry. All Pass-out students of BDS Final year Annual examination, 2021 are directed to submit application for mandatory House job to the Office of Dental College. Incomplete application or received after due dates will not be entertained.  The New Session of House Job will start from 16th September, 2022

Last Date submission of application: 23rd August, 2022 along with the following documents:

  1. Three Recent photograph (Passport size)
  2. Photocopy of Computerized I.D. Card.
  3. Photocopy of Matric Certificate.
  4. Photocopy of F. Sc. Certificate.
