Chairperson

Prof. Dr. Nazli Shujaat is a dedicated academician with two decades of experience in teaching, research, and leadership. She joined Lahore Medical and Dental College (LMDC) in 2008 and is currently serving as the Head of the Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry. She is a member of the Institutional Review Board (Dental College), LMDC; a Technical Member (Dental) of ORIC, University of Biological and Applied Sciences (UBAS); and the Chairperson of the Research Advisory Committee (RAC), Dental College, LMDC. She has served as the Chairperson of the Subject Advisory Committee for Community & Preventive Dentistry at the University of Health Sciences (UHS) and has also been an active member of the Curriculum Revision Committee, Dental College, LMDC. She is actively engaged in academic governance and curriculum development and has served as a subject expert for the UHS Integrated Curriculum 2K25 in Community Dentistry. She has also been serving as an Examiner, Paper Setter, and Assessor for the Second Professional BDS Examination at UHS since 2008 and for the MPhil program since 2011.

Prof. Dr. Nazli earned her BDS from Baqai Medical University, Karachi, Pakistan, in 2001 and completed her MSc in Dental Public Health from Queen Mary University of London, UK, in 2006. She has remained actively engaged in continuing dental education by attending and presenting at national and international platforms. She also serves as a peer reviewer for international and local scientific journals. In recognition of her services to the dental profession and her field, she was elected as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, USA (F.I.C.D.), in 2018.
