Following is the eligibility criteria for admission in MBBS & BDS for Session 2023-2024:-

For Local students

  1. A candidate must have passed F.Sc. (Pre-Medical)/HSSC or an equivalent examination from outside Pakistan with three subjects out of which Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics are mandatory subjects with 60% marks in aggregate as certified by IBCC in the above terms shall be accepted.
  2. A candidate must have passed in the MDCAT (55% marks for MBBS and 50% marks for BDS).

For Foreign Students

  1. The applicant must have permanent foreign nationality or is an overseas (being a Pakistani citizen permanently resident in a foreign country) Pakistani, and who has studied and passed HSSC 12th grade examination or equivalent from outside Pakistan and is a resident of a foreign country at the time of applying for admission and possess a certificate from the institution last attended to this effect.
  2. The applicant having obtained his/her HSSC or Equivalent 12th grade qualificaton from outside Pakistan with three subjects out of which Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics are mandatory subjects with 60% marks in aggregate as certified by IBCC in the above terms shall be accepted.

The applicant must have passed a foreign SAT II examination with minimum score of 550 in each each subject or a foreign MCAT examination or UCAT examination with 50% marks in the subjects as prescribed in PMDC regulations.

NOTE: LMDC will follow the admission policy of PMDC/UHS. Any change if needed, in admission policy by the concerned regulatory authorities shall be implemented even after the admission forms have been submitted.

The merit list is arranged by a weightage formula as under:-

  • Matric/SSC/Equivalent (10%)
  • (Pre-Medical)/ HSSC/ Equivalent (40%)
  • Admission Test (MDCAT) (50%)

No, MDCAT 2021 or 2022 is not accepted for admission in session 2023-2024. See PMDC guidelines in this regard.

LMDC Online Admission Process is as under:

  • Create an account.
  • Fill basic information and request a code.  
  • Get a code after paying application processing fee (Rs. 2000/-) by visiting our Campus or via online.
  • Upload scanned copies (JPGs/PDF) of required educational documents.
  • Complete the application and submit.
  • Track your application unless it is accepted.
  • View your admission portal frequently to view the latest updates regarding admission.

There are two methods to pay admission processing fee.

Pay Cash:
1. Select your program in admission portal.
2. Select pay cash in payment option & submit.
3. Download the fee challan.
4. Visit our Campus to pay application processing fee & get a code.

Pay Online:
1. Select your program in admission portal.
2. Select pay online in payment option & submit.
3. Proceed to pay through debit/credit card option.
4. After successful payment, a code will be emailed to your registered email id & automatically assigned to application and visible in the Request Code page under my code area.

Note: For online payment, you will receive a link through email from Paypro on your registered email / mobile no. Please click on that link and pay your fee by using the Debit/Credit option (only). Please see below link for more details on paying online.

The distribution of seats in different courses is as under:-

There is no age limit for candidate, however candidate should possess adequate mental and physical health.

Last approximate merit for admission in MBBS and BDS was as under:

  • MBBS  –          82%
  • BDS     –          75%

Yes, you can get admission provided you have passed entrance test of PMDC and come on merit.

Yes, you can apply on overseas Quota separately (Please read carefully the PMDC regulation 2023-2024).

No seats are reserved for Azad Jammu Kashmir.

The Session usually starts in the month of January/ February depending upon the declaration of the result of F.Sc. (Pre-medical) by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Admission process will start in September/October every year and advertisement will come in the leading dailies. Applications from the eligible candidates are invited on prescribed online form separately for 1st Year MBBS and BDS. 

There are three working days to submit required fee.

There is a body called Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, which organizes and gives equivalence to candidates who have passed A-level or 12th Grade or any other examination equivalent to Intermediate Level. We accept only IBCC equivalence certificate for admission.

Lahore Medical & Dental College is located on the left bank of the Lahore canal about 11 kilometers from the Mall Road. The postal code number is 53400. The approach is very convenient to the public through Ring Road Harbanspura Exit. The environment is serene, quiet and conducive to studies.

Lahore Pharmacy College, Lahore College of Physical Therapy, Ruth Pfau College of Nutrition Sciences, and Ruth Pfau College of Life Sciences are the landmark projects of Lahore Medical and Dental College, Lahore, and are fully functioning in Lahore Medical and Dental College, premises.

610-bedded Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital, Lahore, including a most modern Spine Centre and 250-bedded Doctors’ Hospital are attached with Lahore Medical & Dental College, Lahore for clinical and practical training of students. All the hospitals are equipped with state of the art electro-medical equipment and are well attended by patients. A new LMDC Teaching Hospital is also under construction in the college premises.

Yes, migration is possible according to the rules framed by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council/University of Health Sciences subject to the availability of seats and N.O.C from the university, both the institutions.

Yes, we have spacious hostels separately for boys and girls. The hostels are located adjacent to the college. The building of the hostel is purpose built, secured and has alternate sources of electrical supply in case of electrical load shedding.

Yes, all the departments of college and hostels have access to internet.

Yes, we have transport contract with M/s Ali Tours. The students are carried in air-conditioned coasters from all parts of Lahore city.

There is an unmet need of developing the value of professionalism in doctors and scientists in our communities. As a university of medicine and dentistry, we are committed to making our physicians into thoughtful professionals who become true mentors, patient advocates, and pillars of their communities.

In order to ensure all of these values are properly translated into results, LMDC has developed appropriate admission procedures, reward systems for students, and a curriculum that teaches them about the doctor-patient relationship.

We have 43 security guards fully armed. They remain on duty round the clock in college and hostels. CCTV/IP cameras have been installed and activities are monitored.

Yes, we have JS bank booth to facilitate the students for monetary transactions.

We have fully developed playgrounds for cricket, hockey, and football and facilities for indoor games. Gymnasiums are available in the boys’ and girls’ hostels for physical exercise.

Fee Structure

There is no policy of merit based scholarship in college. However, Lahore Medical & Dental College, awards a prize in terms of cash to student who get first, second and third position in University Examinations.

We have fully equipped and developed dental clinics of Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Operative Dentistry. All the clinics are well attended by patients. Medical facility is also available in our attached teaching hospital i.e.Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital, Lahore.
