Our college of dentistry offers undergraduate dental education (BDS) in which students are accepted in the first year class for the four years’ program leading to the degree Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.).

Fake Emails/Texts Pertaining to Confirmation of Admission

The management of Lahore Medical & Dental College (LMDC) has been made aware of a scam attempt involving emails purporting to be from LMDC with an intimation of the confirmation of admission to MBBS/BDS session 2021-22.

LMDC denies categorically any such misleading information passed to students or parents in digital or print form.

LMDC strictly adheres to the admission guidelines and criteria as set by the Pakistan Medical Commission. College Admission Cell has already displayed the merit list on the official website of the college (http://lmdcedu.azurewebsites.net). The merit list clearly mentions names of the students who fulfill the criteria and are eligible for admission to MBBS and BDS.  Thus, students or parent may verify any communication pertaining to confirmation of admission before further action.

Please be vigilant and exercise caution when it comes to any unusual or unexpected communications. If you receive a communication purporting to be from or refer to LMDC and you are in any doubt about whether or not it is genuine, please call us 0346-4418891-98 ext 409,104,226 or email at online.admissions@lmdcedu.azurewebsites.net to confirm.

Moreover, LMDC aims to report such fraudulent emails/text to the relevant regulatory authorities for further legal proceedings against the offenders.

Announcement for PMC Scholarship Awaiting Candidates

Those candidates who have applied for PMC scholarship are required to visit LMDC along with the proof of Scholarship decision till 13 January 2022 so that their applications can be processed as per decision of PMC. Otherwise their reserved seats will be offered to next candidate on merit.

Announcement of Provisional Merit List dated: 4th December 2021

• This is provisional merit list for MBBS/BDS Session 2021-22.
• Mere figuring in this Order of Merit shall not confer any right on the candidate if he/she is otherwise found ineligible on the basis of misrepresentation, fraud, or mistake at any stage of admission.
• College shall accept any errors or omissions in the provisional merit list, following the given protocol:
  1. Candidate must inform the college about the error/omission before 07:00 PM, 5^th December 2021 by sending an email to online.admissions@lmdcedu.azurewebsites.net
  2. Candidate must use the same email address to inform the college that was registered during early process of admission.
  3. Please mention the program code (mbxxxxxxx or bdxxxxxxx) in the subject section of the email.
  4. Do not forget to attach with the email, the document(s), which require corrections.

Announcement dated: 1st December 2021.

• Registration for MBBS/ BDS (session 2021-22) is closed now.
• Currently, college is processing the applications and merit list is under process.
• College will display the merit list on 7^th December 2021 on the college website http://lmdcedu.azurewebsites.net
• College will invite the candidates on merit to deposit the fee strictly within two working days (no relaxation in time will be granted).
  • In case of failure to deposit the fee till deadline, college will offer the seat to the next candidate on merit.
  • Thus, college timely intimates parents to arrange full fee before the date of display of the merit list.

Announcement for Admission Session 2021-22 dated: 15 November 2021

As decided by the LMDC Management, Admission test will not be held by the college. All eligible applicants will be awarded full marks of admission test in formulating college merit. Admission test charges Rs. 4000/- and Prospectus charges Rs 3000/- received from the candidates will be refunded as per announced refund policy.

All those applicants who have not submitted or partially filled the application are required to submit application at the earliest.

Last date of application submission is extended upto 30^th Nov 2021. No Application will be accepted after it.

Applicants are advised to open admission portal to check their application status in my application area. If the application status is “not submitted” or “incomplete application” then provide the missing details at the earliest.

Admission test / Prospectus charges refund policy 

In compliance of PMC notification, LMDC management has decided to refund admission test / prospectus charges. Those applicants who have submitted these charges are required to fill & sign the prescribed form and send it through courier at following address:

Accounts Office, Lahore Medical Dental College, Tulspura North Canal Bank 53400, Lahore.

We will send you back the Bank Draft of refunded amount through courier after deducting courier charges within two weeks of the receipt of your refund application form.

LMDC Admissions Timeline

ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR SESSION 2021-2022

Admission process will start in July, 2021. Following is the eligibility criteria for admission in MBBS and BDS for Session 2021-2022:-

ELIGIBILITY

For Local students

• The student must have passed F.Sc. (Pre-Medical)/HSSC or an equivalent examination from outside Pakistan with three subjects out of which Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics are mandatory subjects with 65% marks in aggregate as certified by IBCC in the above terms shall be accepted and the candidate shall be eligible for admission in the MBBS/BDS course with any study group whichever the IBCC may write. It shall be responsibility of the student to get equivalence certificates from IBCC, Islamabad for recognition of his/her qualification.

• A student must have passed in the Entrance Test (MDCAT) conducted by National Medical Authority of Pakistan Medical Commission with at least 65% marks.

For Foreign Students

• A student, who does not hold a Pakistan nationality, having obtained his/her HSSC or equivalent 12^th grade qualification from outside Pakistan with three subjects out of which Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics are mandatory subjects with 65% marks in aggregate as certified by IBCC in the above terms shall be accepted and the candidate shall be eligible for admission in the MBBS/BDS course with any study group whichever the IBCC may write. It shall be responsibility of the student to get equivalence certificates from IBCC, Islamabad for recognition of his/her qualification.

• A student must have passed in the Entrance Test (MDCAT) conducted by National Medical Authority of Pakistan Medical Commission with at least 65% marks.

NOTE: LMDC will follow the admission policy of PMC/UHS. The Change in above mentioned admission criteria is done as per Admission Regulation 2021 announced by Pakistan Medical Commission on 4^th June, 2021. Furthermore, any change in admission policy by PMC/UHS shall be implemented even after the admission forms have been submitted.
